"She who sings Gunerius"

Queen Delara, Amanda Delara Nikman, has made a strong impression on the Norwegian music scene. Since her debut single "Paper Paper" climbed into the Top 50 Spotify Viral on a global level in 2017, she has blended her multicultural background and strong opinions into a beautiful musical expression.

The Oslo girl quickly became known for her interpretation of Karpe's megahit "Gunerius" when the song appeared on the NRK series SKAM, but she has by no means been idle either before or after. Her voice carries through several EPs and singles with millions of plays. This lady stands perfectly on her own two feet, with her own lyrics. So much so that she has been nominated for several awards, and performed at the country's largest award ceremonies and stages, including Spellemann, and no less than the Nobel Peace Prize.

Delara is described as an excellent and talented lyricist who breathes Karpe down her neck with her magical mix of cultures and genres, accompanied by a beautiful voice. In 2023, she finally released the long-awaited debut album Shahrazad, which she herself says is not one specific genre, but rather a bit towards dark pop with a chorus you can sing along to. Ms. Nikman is a strong voice in several ways, as proven by the fact that her songs have become a curriculum at school. No wonder she is part of Dagens Næringsliv's list of leading stars.

In 2024 she will be playing her own show in front of a sold-out Sentrum Scene, which is very understandable. One of the many things that makes Delara electric on stage, besides herself, is her band of strings that contribute to an unforgettable experience. Here it is important to enjoy!
